Project Overview

Most marketing agency websites make the same mistake: they lead with a portfolio and an “About Us” story before ever answering the visitor’s actual question, “can this agency solve my specific problem, and can I trust them to do it?” This project designs a conversion-focused website structure for a digital marketing agency from the ground up, treating the site itself as the agency’s first and most important sales asset.

The Problem

Agency websites routinely underperform for a specific reason: they’re built to look impressive to other marketers and designers, not to convert the visiting business owner. Common failure points include a hero section that talks about the agency instead of the visitor’s outcome, testimonials and case studies buried below multiple scrolls, no clear single next action, and a services list that reads like a menu instead of a story about results.

Research

Strategy

The site structure was built around one rule: every section has to move the visitor one step closer to booking a call, not just inform them. That meant restructuring the homepage into a strict sequence: outcome-led headline, proof (results-oriented, not award-badge-oriented), a clear services breakdown tied to business outcomes, a low-friction contact path, and repeated, non-aggressive CTAs at every scroll depth.

Execution

Tools Used

Figma for structural wireframing, Elementor for the live build, and standard conversion-rate benchmark reports for research and validation.

Key Decisions

The homepage leads with what the visitor gets, not who the agency is. Credibility comes second, and it comes fast, not after three scrolls of self-description.

Outcome / Learnings

Result: Website structure and prototype completed and documented.

Expected impact: Agencies that restructure their site around a single clear conversion path, instead of a generic “about us and our services” layout, typically move from the low end of that 2–3% industry-average conversion range toward the higher end (4–5%+) reported by well-optimized service-business sites. Applied to a real agency’s existing traffic, the same visitor volume converting even two percentage points higher into booked calls represents a meaningful, compounding increase in pipeline without spending anything extra on traffic.

What I Would Improve

With a live site and real traffic, the next step would be structured A/B testing on headline framing and CTA placement, rather than relying on structural best practice alone.

Final Takeaways

An agency website isn’t a brochure, it’s a funnel. Every section either earns the next scroll or loses the visitor, and the fastest wins usually come from reordering and re-framing existing content around the visitor’s outcome, not from adding more content.
